You Didn't Tell Me the Start of My Transmigration Was a Gate

Chapter 14 Part 1: Call me Unnie

TL NOTE:

Hello~ Sorry for the messy chapters yesterday. It’s currently festival week for me and wifi/phone signals are off during the day. I couldn’t access nor edit the Eng raws, and it got posted on Schedule. Festival week is over now so I’d have a stable Internet. Sorry again.

I nodded slowly. Then I started narrating everything that happened to me ever since I’ve entered the gate. I didn’t mean to hide anything, I continued talking while omitting the fact that I killed the monsters alone. I told them about how we got trapped at the H Supermarket, and how I struggled with the others as we travel to the indoor gym. I also told them that we passed by a few monsters but was able to avoid them.

“It must have been very difficult…”

Everyone looked at me with compassionate eyes. Well I guess that’s normal.

“I’m fine.”

“It’s making me sad just looking at you so calm after all of that… Seoha-ya1~ Don’t call me captain, you can call me Unnie2!”

I was surprised after hearing her words. U-Unnie? Hyewon Unnie?

“C-can I really call you that?”

I tried hiding the slight tremble on my voice.

Master nodded her head vigorously. Ugh! then…

I had no choice but to look at her in a confused manner.

Before the regression, Pyo Hye-Won asked me to call her ‘Master‘ in a half-joking tone. When Pyo Hye-Won was younger she used to read a couple of martial arts magazine and because of that, It was always been her dream to be called by someone as master.

We are 8 years apart in terms of age, so I could have just called her Unnie. However, for some reason I felt a bit awkward now. Especially since, I was used to calling her Master or Pyo Hye-Won the entire time. I felt a bit cheeky. I guess even though it’s awkward, having to call her Unnie, was still a huge harvest.

Thankfully I regressed!

I still felt a bit agitated ever since I came back to this goddamn gate, but I think I can slowly accept it now. Especially since I can call my Living master Unnie~! I was so happy and elated! I felt like I was dreaming!

“Uh, seriously…”

Jo Yeon-ho laughed right beside me. He seemed to find the whole situation absurd, but I ignored him. I was so thrilled I felt like crying, but I still did my best to hold back the tears from flowing.

I decided to move with the Blackwater Guild for now.

(TL NOTE: I’m going to be using Backwater Guild for Yeokcheon (역천과) from now on.)

Hyewon-Unnie was too kind and couldn’t leave me alone unprotected. Especially since we’re currently in the middle of nowhere. Anyways, I’m more familiar with the terrain than they are, so I decided to become some sort of a guide for them.

We delayed heading to the indoor gym a bit. Especially since I kept opposing the idea of going there. Hyewon-Unnie asked me if I had broken up with them badly. I had no way to explain the situation, so I chose to remain mum about it. Then they seemed to guess that I had trouble with the Indoor Gym survivors and got kicked out. Since then, no one asked me to go back to the Indoor gym.

They said they were looking for clues to identify the current Boss of this gate.

I was surprised to hear that. I had no intentions of having Pyo Hye-Won and Beelzebub run into each other. So I decided to guide them to a safer side.

“If you go straight this way, you’ll find a river.”

“Oh… Is the river water drinkable?”

“Probably after purification.”

I gave Pyo Hye-Won a standard answer. It’s important to solve the current water problem first. After hearing this, the others who were unsatisfied with the fact that I joined their party seemed to have been slightly settled.

Of course since they were a scouting unit, they would have found a drinking water source on their own, without my help. However, there’s still a huge difference between heading to a destination, and knowing where it is, than wandering around aimlessly without an inkling of where you’re heading to.

“Pretentious little brat…”

Jo Yeon-ho mumbled behind my back as if he was intentionally making me hear it. However I just ignored it. He and I often got into childish fights. For example, something similar to now.

“I’m a bit thirsty.”

Hyewon-unnie muttered to herself. As if on queue, our competition began. Jo Yeon-Ho stared at me, and our eyes met for a moment, and then, without a second thought, we started running.

Unfortunately, Jo Yeon-ho is a healer, so I was no match for him. Especially since I’m not as nimble as before, but I’m still slightly faster than Jo Yeon-ho.

“Here! Hyewon-unnie!”

“Thank you, Seoha-ya. You shouldn’t have-”

“No. It’s nothing.”

I didn’t mention about Jo Yeon-ho, who was staring behind us with a face of resentment.

“You’re really fast.”

He complained in a sullen tone, I smiled and walked past him with a winner’s expression. People even started making bets on whether who will win the next time. Our little competition was happening behind the scenes without Hyewon-unnie knowing anything.

“Is she even normal? Was she a track and field athlete before? Or is she an aspiring hunter?”

Jo Yeon-ho couldn’t believe that he had lost to me. Even though it wasn’t supposed to be his specialty, because he’s a healer.

Healers would often have lower physical ability compared to hunters. However, they were still stronger than ordinary people.

However, healers are not like ordinary hunters. You can consider it as a more specific field.

Healers and wizards are very rare cases among the hunters, because they require a very special aptitude.

It’s impossible to become one, without a specific unique skill. However, very few people could have it. Especially since it was not the type of skill that could be innately developed.

So having Jo Yeon-ho join an ordinary guild like Backwater was still a rare sight. This is due to the fact that most healers would choose to join large guilds or organizations.

I don’t really know about the details, but the reason Jo Yeon-ho would join Backwater is probably because…

“Hey guild leader.”

Jo Yeon-ho sneaked behind Pyo Hye-won and spoke up.

“You were slightly hurt earlier, right? Give it to me. I’ll treat it.”

“Huh? It’s fine! I just slightly grazed it…”

“In a gate, even a small wound like that can become infected. Give it to me.”

Hyewon-Unnie reluctantly reached out her hand towards him, Jo Yeon-ho then brought his hands up over hers. It was still a few inches away, as if to avoid touching the wound. Then, a white light was emitted over Hye-Won’s wounded hand. Like Magic, the wound instantly disappeared. Seeing the cracked skin melt, then stick together was a rare sight.

“Thank you, Yeon-ho.”

“No, problem…”
