"Alexander Priest, I will send your head to Aunt Priest tomorrow ."

I was shocked by Meng Bao\'s sudden appearance. He didn\'t even call me that he would be arriving soon.

I separated myself from Alex and then walked towards Meng Bao, "M—Meng Bao, I didn\'t know that you will arrive so suddenly. Why don\'t you tell me first?" I asked.

Meng Bao sneered at me, full of self-mockery, "Why do I need to tell you? So you can prepare yourself before cheating with this man?"

He glared at Alex again, "The man whom I call my big brother…."

Meng Bao cocked the gun and pointed his gun at Alex. His gaze was fierce, ruthless, and unforgiving. As if I was staring at someone else, not my beloved Bao Bun.

Alex was still stupefied for a moment, and then he took a step back in reflex, "M—Mengmeng, nothing is happening between Jie and me…."

BANG!

"Hiiii!" Alex was terrified when Meng Bao released another shot and intentionally grazing near his temple. The bullet hit the tree behind Alex.

"Don\'t call me Mengmeng, and don\'t call my Jie as your Jie," Meng Bao snapped. Both Alex and I were too scared to speak more. I tried to look around and found nobody around, which was a relief because someone might get hurt for real right now.

I approached Meng Bao and then tried to calm him down, "B—Baobao, calm down, okay? You\'re scaring him—"

"WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH ABOUT HIM?! CARE ABOUT ME INSTEAD!!" Meng Bao suddenly yelled at me with so much hostility. I got stunned and took a step back after he yelled at me.

This was the first time he ever raised his voice. As much of a tough woman that I am, the shock was still there. Especially knowing that Meng Bao was usually soft and spoiled in front of me.

"M—Meng Bao…"

Meng Bao gritted his teeth. He shot another bullet and barely missed Alex for the third time, "The last bullet, I will make sure it will blow your head, Alexander Priest."

"I—I\'m sorry, Meng… t—there is nothing between me and Ying—I mean, Shi Ying. Please relax. I don\'t want to die today… or tomorrow, or anytime soon!" Alex begged for his life. He must\'ve been scared shitless. Even I was afraid of Meng Bao. Because he was not like my usual Bao bun.

"Meng Bao, please stop this, w—we can talk about this. I\'ve been waiting for you as well…."

"Waiting for me? While you\'re dating him, right!?" Meng Bao directly pointed the gun at Alex\'s face. I acted as fast as I could and grabbed his hand. I used all my strength to point the gun to the air and yelled at Alex.

"Alex, RUN NOW! NOW!"

"B—But…." Alex hesitated for a moment. In the end, he gritted his teeth and ran as fast as he could to avoid Meng Bao\'s wrath. Meng Bao struggled against me, but I knew that he didn\'t use his full strength. Maybe he didn\'t want to accidentally hurt me.

"Ying Jie! Release me! Release me now! I\'m going kill that man!" Meng Bao struggled.

"No, you listen to me first! There is nothing between us. It was all just misunderstanding!" I tried to explain it to him to no avail. Meng Bao was so angry. He probably thought that I was protecting Alex because I liked him.

I was stunned when the gunshot was ringing near my eyes, and Meng Bao accidentally fired the last shot in the air.

"Ah!" I closed my ears because it was ringing painfully. Meng Bao dropped the gun and grabbed me before I fell to the ground.

"Ying Jie!" Meng Bao grabbed and pulled me into his embrace, "No, Ying Jie, are you okay?!"

"I—I\'m okay. My ears are just ringing right now," I said. But it didn\'t calm Meng Bao down.

"No, no, this is all my fault! I shouldn\'t show that side of me in front of you!" Meng Bao said. He started to panic, and I saw his unhinged eyes.

"This… I know this would happen…. I just know that sooner or later, I will lose control…."

For the first time in my life, I saw Meng Bao\'s unhinged, unstable, but also fearful eyes.

As if everything around him would crumble down anytime soon.

"Meng Bao?" I called him because he looked unstable. "I\'m okay…."

Meng Bao didn\'t seem to hear me. He kept rambling on and on about his own behavior.

"I… I cannot lose control… I don\'t want Jie to hate me…. No, she shouldn\'t see me like this…."

I felt guilty at Meng Bao. I realized that my position with Alex might\'ve created a misunderstanding between Meng Bao and me. Thus I touched his cheek and said, "Meng Bao, listen to me."

Meng Bao held his breath, he finally shifted his attention to me. He bit his lower lip for a second, trying to make up some words, but when he opened his mouth, he could say nothing.

"Meng Bao… let\'s go to my apartment first, okay?" I said, trying to calm him down.

Meng Bao obediently carried me to the apartment building, and we used the lift to my floor. He took a spare key that I hid under the welcome mat and then entered my apartment.

He said nothing during the whole walk, but he gently put me down on the sofa. He kneeled on the ground and cast his eyes down. He refused to look at me for some reason.

"Meng Bao, raise your head. You\'re so dramatic!" I tried to make everything feels less heavy. Because I could feel the gloomy aura around Meng Bao.

"Baobao, don\'t you see that I\'m alright? My ears are just ringing because I was surprised. You don\'t need to feel guilty," I said.

"It\'s not about that, Jie…." Meng Bao shook his head. "I… I lost control because I saw you cheated on me…."

"But I\'m not cheating! Seriously, Meng Bao, listen to me first—"

"No, I don\'t want to listen to your lie, Jie…." Meng Bao interrupted. He didn\'t want to listen to my explanation.

"Now I\'ve accidentally shown this side of yours in front of you. You… you must\'ve thought of me as a monster…."

Okay, this sounded scarier and grittier than I thought. Where was my beloved Bao bun?

"No, I\'m not alright, Jie…." I could hear the trembling voice of Meng Bao as if he was about to cry anytime soon. "I… I\'m not the cute bao you\'re thinking…."

I\'ve been trying to ignore this side of Meng Bao since the first time I knew about it. Because I didn\'t know the shady stuff, he did behind my back.

Maybe because I loved him, I didn\'t find it disgusting. I chose to be ignorant of this side of Meng Bao for my own benefit.

"I… I thought, as long as you don\'t see this side of me, then everything would be alright…." Meng Bao said. He clenched his fist, "I should\'ve killed that Alex while you\'re not here, I should have—"

"Meng Bao, you\'ve got it all wrong. I never cheated on you! Alex just wants to help me…." I said.

"I don\'t want to listen about it, Jie. I will always forgive for whatever you do, even if you cheat on me," Meng Bao interrupted again. He looked up and stared at me with his blue eyes. His tears streamed on his cheeks, "Because I love you, Jie. I will always love you…."

This wasn\'t supposed to be how things progressed. I didn\'t want him to misunderstand me as some cheater. There was no way that I would cheat on him. We loved each other so much!

"Meng Bao, I never cheated! Just give me a chance to explain everything first!" I begged him. But he didn\'t want to listen. He got up and then walked to the door.

He stopped before opening the door and said, "I…. I\'m too ashamed of myself, Jie. I\'ve sworn that I will never show this side of me in front of you. But now you know that I don\'t fit your expectation…."

"Since you\'ve seen me, then I will be honest with you, my beloved Jie. I will be honest of what will I do now," Meng Bao\'s unhinged gaze pierced me, making me stiffened for a while.

"I will find Alex, and I will send his head to his mother. I will always love you and forgive you, but there is no way I will let another man touch you…."

Meng Bao slammed the door and left me petrified alone in this apartment.
